This recipe is targeted at making mashed potato with a Kitchenaid stand mixer or really any other mixer with a paddle attachment.
We have often varied the way in which we have made mashed potato. Sometimes we boil the potatoes while at other times we have used a microwave. Either way, it’s such a chore then using your potato masher and spoon to try and mix through and create a nice smooth mash.
I happened to find a recipe using our Kitchenaid stand mixer and I can’t believe how much easier it is, how much smoother the mash is as well. I had just never thought to use it before. This is the only way we make mashed potato now.
