Meatballs are usually an easy dish to make and cook. You do need to get your hands a little messy, but the result with a homemade teriyaki sauce is really worthwhile,
The pan fried beef meatballs are first cooked then coated and simmered in a homemade teriyaki sauce of garlic, soy sauce, water, ginger and brown sugar which is nicely thickened with corn flour. Serve as a main meal or appetiser. Either way you won’t be disappointed with these juicy tender meatballs.
As a main meal, serve with your favourite vegetables or salad. Equally served with Jasmine rice is also a great option. There is not a large amount of sauce, but they still mix beautifully with Jasmine rice.
If served as an appetiser, then simply serve with toothpicks. You may also make a second batch of teriyaki sauce for your guests to dip the meatballs into.
This recipe makes 12 meatballs, so simply double all the ingredients to make an extra amount for a larger family.
