Char Siu & Orange Beef Ribs

When cooked nicely, ribs are a favourite at home, whether they be beef, lamb or pork.  A tender off the bone finish is really hard to beat.  It is often the sauce that accompanies the ribs that makes them very special and very tasty.  The char siu & orange sauce that these beef ribs are cooked in is a wonderful sauce for these ribs.

The beef ribs are initially browned before being added to the pressure cooker.  The sauce is a beautiful mixture of char siu, ginger, garlic and orange juice.  A little chilli is added for an extremely mild finish.  Amazing tender off-the-bone beef ribs drizzled with a subtle orange char siu sauce.  Just fantastic.

I use a pressure cooker for this dish as it is both quick and easy and you get a great tender finish to your ribs.  You could equally make this dish in a slow cooker and get great results as well.  It really comes down to your preference.
